This week, Wildlife Club had a go with the new Tasco digital microscopes we have bought for school. These great bit of kits plug into our netbooks where the software has been installed and then we can look through the microscope and magnifies 10x , 40 x and 120 x.

We found all sorts of materials to look at and we even watched snow melting under the microscope… it was amazing!!!

We looked at leaves, stones, sponges, bread, paper, cellotape and whatever we could get our hands on! Then we started looking at parts of us… our hair, our ears, teeth, inside or ears, eyes, mouths… it was great fun!

These microscopes will be used in all sorts of ways in school, linking with Science work on materials, habitats and minibeast work, plant work and much more!
