It was a busy session with Green Team this week! First, we had an important job to do for our lovely rabbits, Tom & Jerry. With Autumn just around the corner, they need somewhere warm and snuggly to hide away for cold nights. WildlifeKate had been given this tawny owl box for some of her projects as it needed a bit of repairing. She thought it would be brilliant for a rabbit house, so she repaired it and brought it into school for the Green Team to complete. To protect it from the weather, The Green Team set to work giving it a coat of Linseed Oil. This oil soaks into the wood and makes it waterproof.
We also gave the Hen House roof a coat to protect that as well!
Once we had finished that, it was into the Grow Zone. We gave everything a good water as it has been quite dry. We also picked some of the crops that were till remaining… runner beans, beetroot, courgette and a lettuce!
