Green team got their cooking aprons on this week, to make some Christmas cookies to take home! We found a gingerbread recipe and carefully measured out all the ingredients. We mixed all the ingredients together and then had to press the dough together with our hands… it was fun!
The dough was like a soft fly consistency and we then had to leave it in the fridge for 10 minutes for it to cool, which would make it easier to roll out.
This gave us time to do the washing up!
We then rolled the dough out between some baking paper so it would not stick. When it was about half a centimetre thick, we used cutters to cut out our cookies. Placing them carefully in the oven, we cooked them for 10 minutes and then allowed them to cool before we were able to decorate them!
Of course we had to try them…. they were delicious! We had enough left to give one to each of the staff too!
