Feeling creative, Wildlife Club headed out to the school grounds for club time this week. WildlifeKate had some air dry clay and showed us how we could search the area for interesting natural materials and use them to make some interesting wild creatures! Moulding the clay into a body shape, we searched for interesting leaves, twigs, feathers, seed cases and moss. We then had to use all of these to create the body parts of our newly ‘discovered’ creatures! W also learn some new words to describe the 3 main parts of many insects’ bodies; head, thorax and abdomen….

We were very imaginative and produced some amazing animals using our natural materials! We were really proud of them and couldn’t wait to show our parents and take them home with us! With the early Spring sunshine still shining, we enjoyed being out in the fresh air!
