This week, with everything growing so well in our Grow Zone, we want to make sure that the birds don’t come and wreck our crops! I set some groups the challenge of making a scarecrow out of recycled materials. Using a range of old mops , wood, old clothes, string etc, we designed our own scarecrows and built them. The Year 3 classes also made a selection of them.
Here are the Year 3 scarecrows that have made their home in the beds….
These lovely girls made this wonderful scarecrow in their own time at home! Doesn’t he look brill?
This super scarecrow is the mascot of the 4PL tomato Grow Zone!
The Green Team were up for the challenge and they worked in pairs with a selection of materials to come up with 2, unique Scarecrow individuals to adorn their beds…
With the lovely weather and the watering that all the pupils have been doing, we can really see our crops growing now and the Grow Zone is looking brill!
