We have feeding stations for birds all year round, but in the Autumn and winter we increase the feeding to offer more types of foods and in two locations. One feeding station is down at our Wild Learning Area. We have a bird hide there too, so we can watch and see what visits. Our other feeding station is right outside our hall, so we can see the birds as we queue for our dinner, have assembly or go through the hall.

I have two Year 6 pupils who are in charge of keeping the bird feeders topped up! We filled the Wild Learning feeders and put them all up.

My Green Team then cleared and tidied the Hall feeding Station and topped up the feeders there……

WildlifeKate will be doing lots about birds with us over the coming months, especially with our Bird ID Challenge. Feeding the birds is a great way to start to get close to the wildlife in your garden and we will all be finding out more about it over the next few months. We will also be taking part in the Big Schools’ Birdwatch in January!
