Way back in the Spring, we planted some gourd seeds and they did really well in our Grow Zone! We had waited until the plant had died down and the stems were brown, as that is when we could harvest our gourds.
They are very beautiful shapes and colours, but these are not for eating. They are ornamental gourds.
We took them inside and washed and dried them.
They are so lovely, WildlifeKate made a display of them in the entrance hall so we could all see them.
We are going to allow them to dry out over the winter and then, once they are dry, we are going to make them into bird feeders and musical instruments!!
