As part of The Big School Birdwatch, groups of children from each class came out to join WildlifeKate to make some birdied glands to hang around school.
Using flexible green wire, we threaded a mix of tasty morsels onto the wire for the birds to feast on! We used brown bread, cheerios, sultanas and chopped apple.
Once we had filled the wire, we twisted it around into a circle, leaving a bit of wire to hang it in the tree.
Each class took their feeder back to their classroom and hung it somewhere where all the class could see it, keep an eye on it and see if anything came to feed on it!
I wonder how long it will be before the birds discover them?……
