Ornithologists are people who like watching and learning about birds. Outdoor Explorers Club was on a Bird Theme tonight as we continued our Big School BirdWatch Theme! Clutching our clipboards and binoculars we headed out to see what birds we could spot before it got dark!

Our highlight was two Mistle thrushes on our school field, but we also spotted a Buzzard swooping over the field, some wood pigeons and  a magpie. There were some birds wanting to come down to our bird feeders as well!

As it was getting dark and very windy, we headed inside to make some bird food garlands to take home and hang up in our gardens!

We enjoyed our session and can’t wait to see what birds visit our new feeders!
